It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Thomas of Chillicothe, Ohio, born in Circleville, Ohio, who passed away on November 30, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Thomas and Blanche Thomas (Young); his sister Mary E. Russell; and his son-in-law Rufus Dowe, Jr.. He is survived by: his spouse Arilene Hitchens; his children, Joslyn T. Dowe of Lyndhurst, OH and James Thomas, Jr. (Denise) of Dayton, OH; his grandchildren, Rufus Dowe III (Donna), Ashleigh Brown, Von Abram, Kennede' and Benae'; his great grandchildren, Courtney Dowe, Jordi Dowe and Harper Brown; his siblings-in-law, Etha Graves, Jenny Harbin, Kenneth Hitchens and Larry Hitchens; his nieces and nephews, Vicki Mundy, Joyce Wedlow-Harris, Robert Russell, James Russell, Robert Harris, Monty Harris, Carlos "Tony" Harris and Vincent Harris; and his close friends, Bob Banks and Dana Thomas.
