He is survived by: his children, Jamie McElivee and B. J. Mitchell; his stepchildren, Kelly Smith, Betty Sue Wipert and Norman Mitchell; his sisters, Donna Ward, Leora Matthews and Connie Matthews; and his close friend Amy Sabo. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
