He was predeceased by: his father Lynn Manis; his brother Paul Manis; and his stepfather John Pierce. He is survived by: his mother Alice Pierce (Bowman) of Chillicothe; his sons, James Eric Manis of Kingston and John Manis of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Wesley and Katelynn Manis; his former wife Jessie Taylor of Chillicothe; and his sister Christina Reinsmith (Tom) of Chillicothe. He is also survived by niece and two nephews.
