It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Thayer Marks of Chillicothe, Ohio, born in Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on February 2, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Thayer and Zella Marie Marks (Keffer). He is survived by: his wife Dixie Lou Marks (Pauley); his children, Steve Marks of Nelsonville, Susan Marks of Columbus, David Hammonds of Chillicothe and Michael Cowan of Charleston, WV; his grandchildren, Maximus Hammonds and Charlotte Mitzi Hammonds; and his siblings, Thomas Marks of Cross Lanes, WV and Sandra McCullagh of Nitro, WV. He is also survived by numerous other family members and close friends.
