He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Lutz and Althea Crago Lutz; his wife Clara June Bates; and his siblings, Dorothy Seaburn, Earl Lutz, Cecil Lutz, Maxine Anderson, Pauline Fizer, Russell Lutz, Bill Lutz and Florence Hone.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki J. Lutz of Chillicothe, William "Hal" Lutz (Marsha K.) of Chillicothe and Rebecca "Becky" Hurff (Matthew) of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Jeremy Hurff (Jenny) of Chillicothe, Chad Hurff (Danielle) of Chillicothe, Katie McCorkle (David) of Powell, OH, Mark Lutz (Erin), Joshua Lutz (Brandy Curtis) of Chillicothe, William H. "Hal" Lutz, II of Chillicothe and Jessica Lutz (Brad Fornier) of Galloway, OH; his brother Tom Lutz (Shirley) of Circleville; and his nephew Bruce Rutherford of Stoutsville, OH.. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
