She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Sr. Oates and Esta B. Mason Oates; her siblings, Beverly Tyo, Betty Oates, Peggy Conley, Pam Cornerstone, Nancy Oates, Nikki Oates, James F. Jr., Alford Olin, Clarence "Pickle", Donald, Norvel, Larry and William Oates; and her brother-in-law Henry Barlage.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa McCoy (Shawn) of Chillicothe and Todd Oates of Columbus; her grandchildren, Jessica Streitenberger (Ryan) of Kingston, Jeremiah Oates (Karis) of Chillicothe, Callie Oates (Will Kille) of Chillicothe and Collin McCoy of Columbus; her siblings, Deen Oates (Alice) of Allen, TX and Carolyn Barlage of Chillicothe; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Tyo of Chillicothe, Wanda Oates of Chillicothe and Beulah Oates of Chillicothe.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ware Funeral Home (121 W 2nd St, Chillicothe, OH 45601).
