He was predeceased by: his father Robert Wesley Haynie. He is survived by: his mother Florence J. Haynie (Wisecup) of Greenfield; his children, David Johnson of Grove City, Brandon Johnson of Grove City and Christine Johnson of Columbus, Ohio; and his siblings, Donna Staub (Rick) of Hillsboro, Gary Haynie of Chillicothe, Rosemary Haynie of Greenfield, Carol Haynie of Hillsboro, Linda Daugherty (Jerry) of Bainbridge, Michael Haynie of Greenfield and Robert Haynie of Hillsboro. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
