He was predeceased by: his parents, James Betts and Margaret Bryant Betts; and his siblings, Patricia Bryant Betts, Lois "Sue" Bower, James Betts Jr., Terry Betts, William "Kenny" Betts and Clyde Betts.
He is survived by: his children, Kelsey McKinney (Andrew) of Reynoldsburg, OH and David Kenton Betts, Jr. of Chillicothe; and his brothers, Richard "Dick" Betts of Chillicothe, Steve Betts (Diane) of Chillicothe and Rickey Betts (Kathy) of Chillicothe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
