He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil E. Smith and Shirley C. Powell Smith; his wife Sharon Hitchings; and his siblings, Freda Smith and Dwayne Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Joshua Thomas (Leann) of Chillicothe, Jillian Thomas of Texas and Damion Smith of Chillicothe; his stepchildren, Morgan Hitchings of Frankfort and Jordan Hitchings of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Keshaun Mason of Texas and Julian Thomas of Texas; and his siblings, Bryan Smith (Susan) of Columbus, Carol Smith of Chillicothe, Billie Cunningham of Columbus, Tara Cunningham of Columbus and Tawana Smith of South Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to Covid-19 a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
