He was predeceased by: his parents, Judge Thurman Richards and Sylvia Richards (Scott); his stepson David Brown; and his siblings, Orpha Wade (Richards), Audrey Hiles (Richards), Pat, Milton, Douglas, Calvin and Frank Richards.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Lee Brown (Raypole); his stepson Mark T. Brown of Priest River, Idaho; his stepgrandchildren, Virginia L. Brown of Chillicothe, Teri L. Brown of Chillicothe and Jaymie M. Bucanan of Chillicothe; his sister Ann Lou Skaggs (Richards) of Chillicothe; his nieces, Nancy Lyn Gray (Wade) of Waverly and Kathy John Hatfield (Hiles) of Tennessee; and his nephew Erin Rinehart (Teresa) of Chillicothe. He is also survived by many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
