She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobart Patterson and Grace E. Austin, Sr. (Keel); her husband Garrett H. Duncan; her son Jason S. Duncan; her siblings, Norma Smith, Harold Austin, Russell Austin, Hobart Austin and Chester Austin; and her siblings-in-law, Ronald and Katherine Hill.

She is survived by: her children, Randy V. Austin and Renee Meeks; her stepchildren, Bruce Duncan (Paula), Michelle Ivory (Marvin), Gregory Duncan (Bonita), Denise Duncan and Christy Beverly (Randy); her siblings, Lovada Cousins, Mary Howard, Lucille Lee (Bill), Nedra Valentine (Dana) and William Hill; and also Donna Austin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.
