It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cheryl Hitchens of Chillicothe, Ohio, who passed away on August 27, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Wingo and Marsena Wingo (Jones); her husband Robert "Rabbit" Hitchens; her siblings, Edward Wingo (Betty), Michael Wingo and Marsha Branson (Ralph); and her stepson Jackson Hambrick.
She is survived by: her sons, Rev. F. Todd Gray, I (Diane) and Rev. J. Troy Gray (Sue); her granddaughter Marta Hitchens; her brother Wendall Wingo (Violet); her stepchildren, Natalie Murphy, Rev. Robert Hitchens Jr. (Monica), Gregg Adams, Myia Hambrick and Tamra Lowe (Wendell); her stepgrandchild Kim Edley; her grandchildren, Marcus Wright-Gray, Rachelle Buchanan (Chris), Tiffany Gray-Brown (George), Lindsey Gray (DeSean Benson), Rev. F. Todd Gray, II, Shawn Gray (Kiara), John Troy Gray, II (Ashleigh), McKinlee Gray (Marya Hawk), Tyrell Netter (Tiffany Folmar), Lauren Hitchens, Cameron Lowe, Donavon Lowe, Robert Hitchens, II, Ric McConnell and Alyssa Edley; and her caregiver Cheryl. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of special friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cheryl's honor can be made to Cheryl's Angels, a new ministry at Zion Baptist Church dedicated to preserving her legacy.
