He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Knotts and Kate Dye Knotts; his wife Roberta Knotts; and his siblings, Helen Urban and Richard Knotts.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Siders (Michael) and Michael Knotts (Sharon); and his foster daughter Beverly McDaniel. He is also survived by four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
