He was predeceased by: his father Clyde McGraw; his wife Vicki A. Harper; and his son Carl D. (McGraw, Jr.). He is survived by: his children, Angela Hayburn (Nick) of Chillicothe, Shane McGraw of Chillicothe, Greg McGraw of Michigan, Carla Bates (Robert) of Michigan, Cindy Moran (Pat) of Florida and Tim McGraw of Michigan; his daughter-in-law Kellye Park McGraw of Chillicothe; his siblings, John McGraw of Chillicothe and Dottie Mertz of South Carolina; and his caregiver Penny Carter of Charleston, WV.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home or to his son, Shane McGraw.
