He was predeceased by: his parents, Terrence E. Copeland and Leona Faye Copeland (Ratcliff); his siblings, Terrence Copeland and Mary Bowshier; and his brother-in-law Earl Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Copeland (Coder); his children, Gary Copeland (Lisa) of Chillicothe and Joy Post of Laurelville; his grandsons, Aaron Copeland of Lemon Grove, Jordan Copeland of Chillicothe and Alexander Copeland (Jessica) of Chillicothe; his great grandchild Henry Copeland of Chillicothe; his siblings, Lois Davis (Harold) of Texas and Larry Copeland (Betty) of Frankfort; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Stewart and Nancy Neff (John). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
