He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Washington and Nell Washington (Thomas); his grandson Austin; his daughter Denise; the mother of his children Ethel; and his wife Dianiah.
He is survived by: his children, Tamara Washington (Chillicothe) and Bobbie (Jennifer); his stepsons, Myron Brown and Brown (Chillicothe); his grandchildren, Christian Watterson, Onnika Goins, Nicholas (Hoeyeon), Mickey of Evans Mills, NY, Ryland Mickey of Chillicothe, OH, Emma, Kellan and Noelle Washington of Grove City, OH.; his siblings, Gloria Johnson (Leroy) of Dayton, OH, Pierre Washington (Mary) of Hendersonville, NC and Helen Downing of Lexington, KY; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Harris (Vonnie), Thomas Lee, Gregory Lee, Dezi Lee (June), Toyia Crosswhite (Earl) and Charlene Lee. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
After retiring from the military, he worked for the VA, RCA/Thomson, MedCare, and finally First Capital Enterprises until Covid made him retire.
