It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Jane McKinnis of Chillicothe, Ohio, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman William and Margaret Ellen Bost (McCorkle); her husband Paul McKinnis; her son Paul Leo McKinnis; and her siblings, Milford Bost, Judson Bost, Harry Bost, Marge Duffy, Mary Doughty, Jean Ramsey, Mabel Spetnagel, Francis Sharp, Richard Bost and Robert Bost.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheri L. Carter (Larry) of Chillicothe and Betty Rae Rice (Travis) of Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Bethann Riddle (Bobby) of Frankfort, Brian Paul Sharp (Desiree) and Anthony Ray Carrera (Niki Catoe) of New Port Richey, FL; her great grandchildren, Danielle, Tylor, Hannah, Matthew, Katelyn, Alex, Josh, Jordan, Lainey and Rylee; her great great grandchildren, Dawson, Savannah, Sadie, Penn, Hattie, Tripper, Alivia, Aviree, Kynslee, Madilyn, Riverlyn, Koast, Jones and Pauly; and her sister Phyllis Mitchell of Chillicothe. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brookside Church (2215 Egypt Pike, Chillicothe, OH 45601). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenlawn Cemetery (643 Eastern Ave, Chillicothe, OH 45601).
