With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cyril W. Thobe of Chickasaw, Ohio, born in Maria Stein, Ohio, who passed away on October 4, 2021 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cyril W. Thobe to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Thobe and Rosalia Thobe (Imwalle); his former wife Wilma Homan; and his brothers, Wilbur (Martha Thobe), Victor (Henrietta Thobe), Hugo (Norma Thobe), Art (Jeanette Thobe), Paul (Eileen Thobe) and Thomas Thobe (Judith Thobe Dircksen).
He is survived by: his wife Martha Schmitmeyer-Schlater; his daughter Carolyn; his son-in-law Stan Homan; his grandchildren, Stacey Homan, Travis, Nicole Homan, Melissa, Mark Warder, Lee, Samantha Homan and Kyle Homan; his stepchildren, Chris, Ed Kimmich, Dayton, Steve, Marlene Schlater, Cindy, Ken Kaiser, Susan, Howard Heitkamp and Maria Stein; and his sister Irene. He is also survived by twelve step grandchildren, eighteen step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Rustic Hope.
