He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; his parents, Oliver Porter and Geraldine Porter; and his brothers, O. H. and Wynne Kent Porter.

He is survived by: his sister Suzanne Fiedler; and his sister-in-law Ellen Byrne. He is also survived by his nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Tom's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
