He was predeceased by: his wife Stephanie M. Lucas (Durick); his daughter Constance M. Lucas; his parents, Stephen J. Lucas and Nellie Lucas; and his sibling Thomas Lucas.

He is survived by: his children, Kenneth R. Lucas and Carrie A. Scheller; his grandchildren, Ryan, Kristi Lucas, Dustin and Larson Scheller; and his sister Florence Blackstock.
