He was predeceased by: his mother Jo Arlene Maxwell; and his grandfather Harry Maxwell. He is survived by: his children, Brianna Maxwell and David Stacy; his grandmother Millie Maxwell; his parent Gary Maxwell; and his siblings, Bobby Lawson, Lisa Manis, Matt Maxwell (Jeanette), Marc Maxwell (Robin) and Mindi McGee (Nevil). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to David Simpson Hospice House.
