He is survived by: his mother Judith Newell; his wife Elaine Newell; his children, Michael Kobe (Autumn), Christopher Newell (Darcie) and Jessica Gilbert (Phil); his grandchildren, Hayden, Brennen, Emersen, Addilen, Lewis and Parker; his siblings, Sue Whitmer (Scott) and Shelley Newell; his mother-in-law Sharon Palmer; and his sister-in-law Kim Palmer-Sass (John).
