She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton "Pete" Wallace and Florence L. Vandyke Wallace; her son Mark Raines; and her siblings, Orton, Leonard, Vernet, John Wallace, Garnet Calendine, Elizabeth Humphrey and Cora Belle Petti.
She is survived by: her husband Darrell E. "Sonny" Carpenter; and her children, Ron Raines of Chesterhill, Allen Carpenter of Stockport, Darrin Carpenter of Stockport and Katina Lescody of Chesterhill. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
