He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard A. Groves and Betty Groves (Moran); his birth mother Etta Rose Groves (Stuchell); and his sisters, Nancy Jo Wilson, Kathleen Martin and Penny Tinkey.
He is survived by: his wife Vera L. Groves (Beagle); his son Brandon E. Groves; his sister Mary "Peg" Laughlin; and his sisters-in-law, Navella "Sis" Howard, Lorretta Bayless, Marcella Martin and Janie Beagle.
