She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Reynolds and Bernadine Reynolds (Leonard); her husband Virgil L. Backus, Jr.; her son Kenneth Backus; her grandson Michael Backus; and her sisters, Shirley Chamberlain and Marilyn Donnalley.
She is survived by: her children, Denise A. Backus, Virgil L. Backus III (Kelly), Keith B. Backus (Wendy) and Scott A. Backus (Melissa); her grandchildren, Andrea Hawk, Sarah Weiler, Matthew Wayne Backus, Alice J. Backus, Amanda E. Hall, Heather Jo Winterrowd, Casey Lee Barker, Darrin R. McCall, Trista Hlavay, Tylor Backus, Tanner Backus, Chelsea DeCapio, Lukus Backus and Gracie Backus; and her sister Marjorie Densmore. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.
