He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ward (Harmon); his children, Scott D. Ward (Jody Ward) and Denise Smith (Joe Smith); his grandchildren, Madison (Ward) Hord (Lyle Hord) and Mark Smith (Dusty Smith); his great grandchild Hunter Smith; his close friends, Ken Wakefield, Ron Keeney, Paul Dennin and Chuck Maynard; and his siblings, Tommy Ward, David Ward, Anne Olsen, Barbara Altop, Donna Stewart and Fran Christian.

In lieu of flowers the family appreciates donations to The Gideons International and also to The Hospice House of Huntington.
