He was predeceased by: his parents, Oval Lee Day Sr. and Nellie Canterbury; his stepfather Orville "Totsie" Canterbury; and his siblings, Donna Jean, Oval Lee Jr., Frankie Wallace, Paul Day, Linda Pike, Charles Day and William Day.

He is survived by: his wife Beth Day; his sons, Larry (Kim) and Tim (Mindi); his grandchildren, Josh, Hannah, Eli, Alex and Alexis; his great grandchild Owen; and his siblings, Phyllis Brady and Robert Day.
