He was predeceased by: his father Jim Rice; his grandparents, Londo, Bessie Swartzwelder Rice, Merv and Bertha Shafer Dornon; and his niece Erin Suzanne Rice.
He is survived by: his mother Betty; his brother Aaron Rice; his nieces, Kristen Wine (Justin), Sarah Butler (Justin) and Laura Rice; his great-nieces, Adaleigh, Emmie and Lena Wine; and his sister-in-law Kim Plantz Rice (Mike Thompson).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chesapeake United Methodist Church or the Chesapeake High School Athletic Department.
