He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Shockley and Eileen Vanpelt Shockley; his brothers, Fred and Lee Shockley; his children, Dreama Williams, Gearld Shockley, Jr. and Troy Shockley; and his granddaughter Alicia Palmore.
He is survived by: his wife Valeria Shockley; his siblings, Shirley Simmons, Ronnie and Jerry Shockley; his grandchildren, Christina Eaches (Jason), Joshua Shockley (Britney), Candace Brumfield (John) and Destiny Taylor (Seth); his great grandchildren, Dreama "Braelyn" Eaches, Brenley Eaches, Tyler Shockley, Hallie Jo Shockley, Chase Shockley, Faythe Brumfield, Ryden Brumfield and Willow Brumfield; and his close friend Teddy Stapleton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
