He is survived by: his wife Judith Smith Armstrong; his sons, William Armstrong, John Armstrong (Kathleen) and James Armstrong (Christine); and his grandchildren, William Armstrong, Megan Armstrong, Paige Armstrong, Elliott Armstrong and Laura Armstrong.
