He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Taylor and Grace; his former wife Faye Park; his stepmother Helen; and his brother Warren Sargent.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughter Elizabeth Emmons (Robert) of Chardon; his stepchildren, Thomas Hummel Jr. (Chris) of Chardon and Heidi Marks (Paul) of Chardon; and his grandchildren, Taylor Emmons (Becky), Rachel Hinder (Matthew), Thomas Hummel III (Allyson), Kaitlyn Sanders (Chad), Emily Hummel, David Marks, Hannah Marks and Jeremy Marks. He is also survived by 4 great-granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the church.
