With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley McCarthy Daugherty of Chardon, Ohio, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on July 26, 2021 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley McCarthy Daugherty to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank McCarthy and Viola McCarthy; her husband Dick I. Daugherty (Dick); and her sister Wini Burge. She is survived by: her children, Dick Daugherty of Jefferson, Doug Daugherty (Wendy) of Chardon and Sue Lampey (Scott) of Unionville; her grandchildren, Richard, Shannon, Megan Daugherty, Danielle Briggs (Bryan), Katie Redinger (Sean), Glenn Lampey and Bailey Lampey (Chad Cornwell); and her brother Ed McCarthy of Texas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in Shirley's name to the Geauga County Dept. on Aging, for the Meals on Wheels program, 470 Center Street, Bldg. #2, Chardon, Ohio 44024.
