With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald Lee Johnson of Chardon, Ohio, who passed away on December 22, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett and Hannah; and his siblings, Betty, Everett, Hazel, Ralph and Charles.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his children, Susan Pohto of Chardon, Ruth Johnson of Sunbury, Deborah Belliveau (Stephen) of Chardon, Carol Rosiak (Troy) of Avon Lake and Ronald Johnson Jr. (Melissa) of Chesterland; his grandchildren, Justin (Chelsea), Larry (Sasi), Amberlea (Joseph), Jessica (Alex), Sandra (Patrick), Ashley (Trevor), Daniel, Jonathan (Devina), Haley (Nicolas), Madolynn (George), Troy Jr., Emily and Travis; his great grandchildren, Tenley, Logan, Titus, Winston, Dean, Taelyn, Eleanor, Vivian, Josephine and Ayla; and his brother Martin Johnson (Jean) of Rock Creek.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burr Funeral Home (116 South St, Chardon, OH 44024). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at the Maple Hill Cemetery (13493 Co Rd 4, Chesterland, OH 44026).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Geauga Parks and Recreation Department would honor his legacy (geaugaparkdistrict.org).
