He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Swenders and Marion Swenders (Hendricks); his sister Gloria Goines; his nieces, Janet Seets, Ashley Seets Johns and Vickie Campbell; his nephew Lincoln Johns; and his pets, Baby Boy, Honey and Baby Jane.

The lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Geauga County Dog Warden, 12513 Merritt Rd, Chardon Ohio in Richards name.
