He was predeceased by: his brothers, Jon Countess of York, PA and Thomas Countess of Decatur, AL. D; and his parents, Jac Countess and Mary Countess. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kay Countess; his daughters, Catherine Digel of Chagrin Falls, OH and Julia Beabout of Seattle; his children-in-law, Leigh and Brent; and his grandchildren, Matt, Brian and Caroline Digel.
Dick will be fondly remembered for his wisdom, faith, humble service and colorful stories about his childhood. Due to COVID, a private memorial service will be held for the immediate family.
