He is survived by: his wife Connie of Chardon Twp; his children, Steve Merlene (Dawn Damante) of Munson Twp and Jason Merlene (Kate) of Kent; his grandchildren, Austin, Allison and Clara; and his sister-in-law Penny Merlene. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
