He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" and Rachael Cross (Peterson); and his son Matthew. He is survived by: his wives, Judy and Judith; his children, Daniel Cross of Newnan, GA, Amy Shafer (Mark) of Elgin, IL and Katharine Cromer (Robert) of Biloxi, MS; his grandchildren, Rachael Cross, Jane, Sara, Robert, Anna Cromer, Ryan and Molly Shafer; and his sister Emily Durbin (Richard) of Aurora. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
