He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cravens Sr. and Miriam Joan "Jody" Engelman of Holland Michigan; and his grandchild McKenzie Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Nemmers; his children, Jennifer Grammer (Brian) of DeKalb, IL, Scott Cravens (Katie) of Morris, Matt Montgomery (Kelly) of Macedonia and Chelsea Stiles (Dylan) of Lenexa, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Brian, Dorothy Grammer, Riley Cravens, Lena Stiles and Mason Montgomery; and his siblings, Cynthia Minnich (David) of Holland, MI, Christine Beaudoin (Mike) of Coloma, MI, Jane Myers (Mark) of Lancaster, PA and Charles Cravens (Kate) of Chagrin Falls, Ohio..

Due to the Covid 19 guidelines, the family will gather privately Wednesday at the U. C. Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris. Memorial Services for John will be private and officiated by Pastor Laura Wilson of the First United Methodist Church in Morris.

Preferred memorials may be made in John's name to First United Methodist Church, Salvation Army or Shriners Hospital for Children.

“Vacations at Scott Lake with John, Jenny and Scott were looked forward to all year. So many wonderful memories! One year John lost his glasses in Lake Michigan...ooops! Another time there was a bad storm and we lost power at the cottage. We actually took all the kids to the lake, which was pretty crazy because the waves were huge! John got a big bonus just before we came and he treated us to a trip to Six Flags...he was an amazing friend. Love, Ken, Jamie & Family 😢”
