He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Mary; his wife Eleanor; and his sister Helen Macek. He is survived by: his children, Katherine Briggs of Munson Twp, James F. Novotny, Jr. (Deborah) of Munson Twp and Paula Siller (Bruce) of Munson Twp; and his grandchildren, Sarah Horbay (Frank), Kelsey Algeri (Joel), Krissy Novotny, Kimberly Fleming (Dave), Karen Fogle (Sean), Brian Siller (Shannon), Julie Brand (Jason) and Jason Briggs (Lori).
