She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bymakos and Stamatoula "Toula" Bymakos; her husband Thomas L. Planinc; her siblings, Ann Daro (Phillip), Frank Bymakos, Mary Bymakos, Athena Williams (Earl) and Antigone Steigerwald (George); and her sister-in-law Barbara Torok.

She is survived by: her sister Stella Balale.
