He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Maxwell and Nellie Maxwell (Shields); his wife Clara Rose (Whitmire); and his siblings, Joyce Shaeffer, Jeffrey Maxwell and Joel Gregory Maxwell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Wright (Clinton), Ruth Damm (Cory) and Danielle Morgan (Timothy); and his siblings, Cathy Shaeffer (Mike), Jay Maxwell and John Maxwell (Mary Ann Petrosky). He is also survived by his daughters and sons-in-law; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
