With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Shaffer of Chandlersville, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on May 9, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin H. Drushal and Inez Drushal (Ferguson); her husband Orval E. Shaffer; her son-in-law Robert Rasor; and her siblings, Judith Revennaugh, Wilbur Drushal and Donald Drushal.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Calvert (Steven), Larry Shaffer (Lynn) and Ed Shaffer (Julie); her grandchildren, Nicholas Hill, Logan Hill (Hannah), Noah Hill, Nathaniel Shaffer (Torie Gable), Hannah Shaffer, Lydia Waters (Wes), Abigail Shaffer, Samantha McCune (Cory), Stephanie Persons (Christopher) and Sabrina Shaffer; and her siblings, Robert Drushal (Irene) and Betty Wedincamp (Billy). She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren.
