He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Erbe and Mary Shane Erbe; his former wife Myrtle Wensyel Erbe; and his sisters, Joan Reeb and Carol Sue Barnett.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Rose Erbe; his children, Stephanie Barnhouse (Brock), Charles Erbe II (Barbi), Susie Baldwin (Steve), Shane Foraker (Tammy) and Jeannie Finnerty; his grandchildren, Jessica Bradshaw (Bryan), Leah Trowbridge (Andrew), Sadie Erbe, Parker Barnhouse, Laban Erbe (Jennifer), Jenna Barnhouse, Ryan McCoid, Lindsey Baldwin, Brittany Foraker, Paige Foraker, Kyle Finnerty (Katie), Sean Finnerty (Lexy), Leea Finnerty (Caitlyn), Audrey Baldwin and Sidney Baldwin; and his great grandchildren, Emma Bradshaw, Sawyer Bradshaw, Jemma Trowbridge, Willow Erbe, Aurora Erbe, Izrael Clark, Waylon Harry and Walker Finnerty.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Zanesville First Church of God (1930 Newark Rd, Zanesville, OH 43701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 12:45 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
