He was predeceased by: his wife Katherine; his daughter Sarah; and his brother James Swyt. He is survived by: his children, Robert Jr., Deborah Swyt (John Tutolo), Shannon Mikluscak (Jesse), Tracy Thur (Douglas) and Britton Gregor; his grandchildren, Nicholas Mueller (Rebecca), Christian Mueller, Alexander Mueller, Jordan, Gianna Cosentino, Nichole Thur (Frank), Collica, Corey and Morgan Thur; and his sister Linda Stone.
