He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Gregory Meagher (Babs); and his brother Edward Meagher III. He is survived by: his siblings, Alice Kelly of Bartlett, Pierce Meagher, Mary Little, Margaret Driscoll and John Meagher; his grandchildren, Barney Lee, Johnathan Lee, Kathryn Lee Lavis, Veronica Gregory (Jeff), Joseph McSherry, Emily McSherry, Aaron Schneider, Toby Hanus and Brian Boyle A; and his nephew Captain.

Followed by lunch and burial at Munn Cemetery In lieu of flowers.
