He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Beth Ivins Sauerland; his sons, Paul E., John P. Sauerland of Shaker Heights, OH and Robert M. Sauerland of Milford, OH; his grandchildren, Megan Sauerland Flaherty, Adam, Alena, Charles, Joseph, Theodore, William, Mark, Jeffrey Sauerland, Lucas and Aaron Carrion; his great grandchildren, William and Collins Flaherty; his daughters-in-law, Teri Cone, Loretta Marie Helfrich and Leanne Sauerland; and his siblings, Mechthild, Rudolph and Milwaukee.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western Reserve Land Conservancy.
