He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joel Carpenter and Edith Carpenter; his wife Nancy Schroeder; his grandchildren, Mark Eaton, Alison, Jay Burrows, Ellen, Elizabeth and Erica Carpenter; his cousin Sari Butler (Bruce); his nephew Robert (Buzz); his nieces, Barbara (Patton), Kathy (Brown) and Martha Scher (Clizbe); his aunt Betty Saxon; his brother Robert; and his sister-in-law Betsy Scher (Schroeder). He was also cherished by three children.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of Western Reserve or the Chagrin Falls Historical Society are welcomed in his name.
