He was predeceased by: his parents, Okey Lee and Sarah Belle Dean (Singleton); and his siblings, Pete Dean, Hazel Boone and Macel Warner.

He is survived by: his wife Mary L. Dean (Wymer); his children, Cynthia Norris, Michael Dean and Teresa Ohl (Timothy); and his grandchildren, Mandy, Hrabak (Justin), Cassie Ohl, Leif Norris and Gayle Norris. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
