He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Battiste; his parents, Edward Battiste and Goldie Battiste; and his siblings, Sandy, Huey, Ruth, Charles, Harry, David, Frank and Ikel.
He is survived by: his siblings, Edward, Goldie Mae, Bertha, Lois and Patricia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
