He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dalton and Dorothy Wilson; his stepfather Jim Wilson; and his brothers, Ted and Tom Dalton.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his sons, Todd Dalton (Christina) and Brent Dalton (Amanda); his grandchildren, Zachary, Reagan, Caitlin, Colin, Cayden, Carson and Carmen; and his brother Terry Dalton (Sandy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
